Yoga is the balance of mind, body and spirit.  It is a non-impact form of exercise.  By holding each pose for several seconds, the muscles become more toned, the body stretches, blood flows more freely, the body is aligned.  The class ends with Meditation/Final Relaxation, after which one feels more calm, relaxed, at peace and centered.

There is a misconception that Yoga is a religion.  This is not true - Yoga is NOT a religion!

We do not teach religion in Yoga classes.  However, Yoga is adaptable to all religions.  If a student expresses an interest in learning about religion, we can recommend books and websites where information can be found.

Yoga has been around for over 5000 years!  Drawings of Yoga postures have been discovered in caves and originally practiced first by men!

Yoga is beneficial for men and women of ANY age, race and creed.

The staff at Yoga for Health believe in the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits that Yoga provides and wish to share this gift of health with all who desire to receive it.
