The practice of Yoga is possible for everyone. Whether you are a marathon runner, couch potato, or somewhere in-between, Yoga will help increase your level of flexibility, strength, and oxygen intake.
Yoga isn't meant to replace your current workout, it can be practiced in addition to your exercise program. Most athletes (i.e. football players, runners, etc) find that they are better able to perform their chosen form of exercise and sport much better when they incorporate Yoga into their lifestyles.
Yoga helps to increase muscle strength, bone density, flexibility, balance, awareness, concentration, etc. It also aids with digestion, increases range of motion, and gives the person an overall sense of calm and well being.
